What I Promise Myself in 2012
I’m not a strong believer in new year resolutions, because so many are so excited for a new year, a fresh beginning, that the motivation jumps up. Until we get back into our routines and the resolutions fade.
Some can keep it up and honor their resolutions and some revisit in November before the year ends.
I want to make some personal growth changes in 2012 and beyond. These aren’t cliche resolutions but steps to being a better and stronger person. I’m sharing them here so I can remind myself and stay accountable.
(In no particular order)
1. Focus on myself and my family.
2. Educate myself further in my professional development.
3. Find forgiveness and work on healing pains.
4. Help my mom achieve her goals and new life plans.
5. Spend more one on one time with my daughters.
6. Get healthy and maintain it.
7. Travel. Even if it isn’t far from home.
8. Honor and love those that choose to be in my life.

Those are beautiful goals for the year, best wishes.

I think this list is perfect, and many being life changing. And on another note: About 3/4 of the people at my gym made the resolution to work out more…holy crap, it’s packed. I need to learn to exercise when I travel, I seem to slack then and then feel like a mound of lard when I return. Going to start that next week when I go out of town – even if it’s just some lunges in the room, anything will be good.
Happy New Year!!

Jenny – The big resolution is to lose weight so I’m not surprised. It’s funny though, wait a month and the gym won’t be as crowded as those start to lose motivation and interest. I was really getting into shape in the fall then slacked. I’m also on the get fit track. I can’t imagine you being a mound of lard…

Thanks Sarah! They aren’t even close to yours but I have to start small and work my way up.

I love these. One of my friends suggested a To Be list versus a To Do list. I think that ties really well into what your goals are for 2012.

You have a big list. I’m narrowing my list to 4 this year, it’s so hard to get everything done, especially when time is running so fast!

Not really relevant, but applies to my goals for 2012 – How do you become a The View brand ambassador and what does it entail?

I was a View ambassador a while back. To be honest, I don’t remember how I got into it. It was for a short campaign, we watched The View then wrote a post on one of the Hot Topics. It was fun. And I just left it up on my side bar.

Sorry I’m absolutely no help!
